Description

Reliable KA24 16V Replacement Engines at LRD Pretoria

Looking for a solid 2.4-litre petrol replacement for your Nissan? At LRD Pretoria, we stock the KA24 / KA24DE 16-valve DOHC engine, a workhorse commonly found in the Nissan Hardbody and NP300 ranges. These 2389cc inline-four units are known for their durability, but getting the right one is vital.

Important Fitment Note: The KA24 is not a 'one size fits all' motor. There are four distinct physical configurations of this engine. While they share the KA24 code, they differ in sump shapes, mounting points, intake manifolds, and sensor placements. Before you buy, our Pretoria team needs to help you match your specific type to avoid fitment headaches.

Engine Specifications & Details:

Engine Code: KA24 / KA24DE (16-Valve)
Displacement: 2.4 Litre (2389cc)
Fuel: Petrol
Configuration: DOHC 16V, Inline 4-cylinder
Timing: Chain-driven system
Fitment Types: 4 Available variations (specific to vehicle year/transmission)

Don't confuse this with the older 12-valve SOHC (KA24E) version; these are not direct swaps. To ensure you get back on the road quickly, we recommend having your VIN, model year, and photos of your current engine ready when you call us. Visit the LRD Pretoria yard in Pretoria for straight-talking advice, fair pricing, and stock availability on all KA24 variants.
